  IPLA RENEWS THE TRANSMISSION OF PSYCHOANALYSIS   THE GENOME CLINIC AND PSYCHOANALYSIS   VIOLENCE AT SCHOOLS

The Institute of Lacanian Psychoanalysis will have finished, by the end of the year, the restructuring it has been carrying out in the sequenced and segmented traditional para-university training course for psychoanalysts transforming it into a Permanent Training Psychoanalitic Corps/Body; a topology which is more coherent with the lacanian principles. >>>>>

  

The Center of Studies of the Human Genome – USP and Projecto Análise have made an agreement of clinical collaboration. Patients with neuro-muscular diseases attended at Genoma have already started getting psychoanalytical treatment. This is an innovative and revolutionary experience coordinated by geneticist Mayana Zatz and psychoanalyst Jorge Forbes. The results achieved will be part of a research on “the multiplicity of the body” to be published as of May, 2007.

 

Coordinated by Leny Mrech, the course will examine verbal and physical violence, whether or not under the effect of drugs. Humiliation and lack of learning conditions will be discussed as well. Based on this, it intends to answer: how does the psychoanalyst can contribute to the treatment of this serious phenomenon in our present society? At IPLA, on November 10th and 11th , Friday and Saturday.

   SUNDAY GATHERINGS   BODY AND RESPONSIBILITY  
 

A new cycle of four “Cafés filosóficos” –“Phylosophical cafés” – CPFL – TV Cultura, on the theme: “The prolongation of life”, under the curatorship of Jorge Forbes, started to be recorded on Tuesday, October 3rd . Ivo Pitanguy (plastic surgeon), Ricardo Caruana (architect) and Mayana Zatz (geneticist) will be with Jorge Forbes. Have a look at the complete program and join it live.

   IIPLA, along with Projeto Análise, holds gatherings on the last Sunday of each month – Domingueiras. It is an opportunity for informal debate; a famous citizen-personality is invited to talk with psychoanalysts about their regular work. Our next Sunday gathering will be with surgeon Sizenando Ernesto de Lima Jr. who will talk about “Morbid obesity: reasons and treatment”, on October 29th. Gathering time: 18:00 – 20:00.   “Body and responsibility – analytical action for handling surprise and the unexpected - Freud does not explain”, will be the theme of the clinical conversation held by Projeto Análise, from 24-26 Nov. in São Bento do Sapucaí. Coordinated by Jorge Forbes, this conversation will gather Projeto Análise´s researchers and IPLA´s training / developing analysts.

  IPLA´s NEPPSI – Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisas de Psicopatologia e Psicanálise - Center of Studies and Research in Psychopathology and Psychoanalysis, now is also one of the centers of research of the Psychiatric Institute of Hospital das Clínicas ,IPC (USP), solidifying an important collaboration of research in the frontier of psychoanalysis and psychiatry, pertinent for both the IPC and IPLA.   In an article published at O Estado de São Paulo, on Sunday, Sep. 10th, Jorge Forbes approached the case of Natascha Kampusch, kept in captivity by a man for 8 years. By moving the astonishing case from the police section and placing it in the love section, Forbes surprises readers and interprets their own attitude. >>>>>  

After undergoing a period of restructuring, IPLA´s psychoanalytical clinic was re-Opened in September.
